For a lot of people, buying a car is a large investment, one to be well cared for. Perhaps, the easiest, most reliable way to protect the value of your vehicle is to fit it with seat covers. This can be a minimal investment; however, price should not be the only consideration while shopping for covers. Before you pick out your new seat covers, consider these tips.
1- The most important thing to remember when shopping for seat covers is to know the exact make and model of your car. I know this sounds obvious, but without the exact specifications, you could end up with the perfect seat covers that are completely wrong for your car. You will need to know what type of seats you have, if it is a bench seat, is there a split? Pay attention to what type of headrest your seats are made with; are they bucket seats or captains' chairs? All of these differences will have an impact on what seat cover is the right one for your vehicle. |

Thursday, 10 January 2008 |
With all the employee pricing being hyped and advertised on the media I thoughtI would write a short article on the subject. I have also gotten a lot of questions in emails about the subject.
Here’s the deal: Employee pricing is the lowest price you will ever be able to purchase a vehicle for period.
Employee pricing is usually several hundred dollars below invoice.
So how is the auto dealer making any money selling at employee pricing?
It’s simple… They are reimbursed from the auto manufacture. For example General Motors gives $1500 to the dealer for every car sold at employee pricing. |

Car buying is not a task to be taken lightly. The cost of a new car equals almost what my parents paid for their first home. It's imperative to do behind the scenes research to ensure you get a great deal.
Do not be in a hurry. Car dealers can detect the scent of desperation a mile away! If you are totally without transportation, rent a vehicle until you find the right car. If you rush your purchase, you will usually end up on the bad end of the deal.
You can uncover the typical retail cost of a specific make and model right on the internet. With a little extra research, you can discover the wholesale cost as well. These two pieces of information give you an edge when it comes to negotiation.
It's best to work toward a win-win situation with the car salesperson. They need to make some money on the deal, and you want to pay a fair price. You can often negotiate a price that is $500 above dealer cost, or about 20% off the sticker price. Make sure you take your calculator with you when car hunting. |
